Hey all,

I was wondering if any of you know of a way to automatically detect which COM port the Arduino is connected to. The reason I am looking for a way to do this is because I am making use of the as3glue library, which requires SerialProxy to be configured according to the COM port that the Arduino is connected to.

The serproxy.cfg file needs to be configred as follows:

comm_ports=7
net_port7=5331

comm_baud=57600
comm_databits=8
comm_stopbits=1
comm_parity=none

newlines_to_nils=false
timeout=300

In the case above, the Arduino is connected to COM port 7. I wanted to create an executable or .bat file that detects which port the Arduino is conceted to, and changes the serproxy.cfg file accordingly.

Does anyone know if this is possible, or have any suggestions?

Thanks for your time.
