Hi,

I'm new in the arduino world.

I'm trying to send data (int) from MAX MSP to the ARDUINO software, unfortunally i can't do it.

I'm using the serial object in max.

Can anybody PLEASE help me!? i need this!...

thank you.

PaulS

You can't send data? Or, you don't receive any data on the Arduino?

My crystal ball is at the cleaners.

I'd need to see some code to help.

At this time i don't have any kind of code... i really don't know what to do.

sorry :-[

I have this:

int incomingByte = 0;

void setup() {
     Serial.begin(9600
}

void loop() {

     if (Serial.available() > 0) {
           incomingByte = Serial.read();

           Serial.print("I received: ");
           Serial.println(incomingByte, DEC);
     }
}

I used a slider (255 val) conected to the (serial a 9600) object in max msp.

the serial monitor window in arduino report this:

"serial port com1 not found."

What port did you use to upload the sketch to the Arduino? It most likely was not COM1.

There can only be two devices on a serial port. If MAX is on one end, and the Arduino is on the other end, you can't have the Serial Monitor window open on the 3rd end.
