Topic: Is ethernet shield enough for remote connection? (Read 838 times) previous topic - next topic

Is ethernet shield all I need to be able to connect to my Arduino from a remote PC?
I mean, if I have a router/modem which I use to connect my PC to internet, and if I connect my Arduino to the router when the PC is off, can I access the Arduino from remote just by accessing to my router's IP, assuming IP is static or properly configured with noip.org?

You also need to make a port-forward so that the router knows where to send the requests for the port in use.
