Can anyone tell me how to access the rx and tx diods in order to have direct feedback whether things are as they should be. To make them blink for example.

Thank you very much! ;D

Hi

The TX/RX leds are dedicated to monitoring  serial traffic through pins 0 and 1, so if you want to light them up you owul either have to send or receive characters through the serial port.

TX and RX LEDs are connected directly to the FTDI USB/232 chip, not the microcontroller.

yep, I just meant they are monitoring the serial traffic that goes over pins 0 and 1 of the Arduino .
