Yet again, you have not even tried to give us anywhere near enough information to go on.  You say "a numeric disp" like we are all inside your mind or looking at your desk where all the electronic parts are.  What is 'a'?  What is 'mi'?  What are you trying to accomplish?

I went to the mystic fortune teller and she suggests this might be a project involving a seven-segment display.  If so, she still cannot divine through magical nor rational reasons how you've wired it up.  Resistors?  Is GND connected?  Is it a common-anode part?  Give us some tiny shred of detail.

At some point, anyone who might possibly want to answer your questions will decide to just ignore incomplete questions like this... we'll put in the same amount of effort to communicate that you do.

You had forgotten the ; after all variable declarations. This will lead to a compiler error smiley

This code compiles:
Quote

int a = 2;
int b = 3;
int c = 4;
int d = 5;
int e = 6;
int f = 7;
int mi = 8;

void setup(){
  pinMode(a, OUTPUT);
  pinMode(b, OUTPUT);
  pinMode(c, OUTPUT);
  pinMode(d, OUTPUT);
  pinMode(e, OUTPUT);
  pinMode(f, OUTPUT);
  pinMode(mi, OUTPUT);
}

void loop()
{
 digitalWrite(e, HIGH);
 digitalWrite(c, HIGH);
 delay(2000);
 digitalWrite(e, HIGH);
 digitalWrite(c, LOW);
 digitalWrite(d, HIGH);
 digitalWrite(mi, HIGH);
 digitalWrite(a, HIGH);
 digitalWrite(b, HIGH);
 delay(2000);
}
