I'm trying to set up a system that will allow me to read an output from a RFID card reader. We have it set up and we know that serial information is coming in and that it reads a valid card. Any suggestions? Serial Monitor? or outside programs?

Either one would work. The Serial Monitor already exists. You wouldn't need to write another program. Whether it is sufficient depends on why you want to see what is being output by the RFID reader.

If you already know it works, it doesn't appear that the output is for debugging purposes.
