Hi. I have a Vista computer. I downloaded the file from the site and went into the properties menu and made the file discoverable. (Or something. I forgot smiley) When I extract the file then, it doesn't show anything after.

From the Arduino website, right click for properties annd on the bottom, there's something like allow viewing of content.

Four questions, one answer. Not a very good percentage.

None of us was looking over your shoulder when you did whatever is was you did. Your not paying per character for your posts, so use lots of characters. Describe specifically what you were trying to download from specifically what site. Describe specifically what file you right clicked on, and the specific menu item you selected. Describe exactly what happened when you did that.
