I will start of with specs:
Processor 2GHZ dual core intel
Ram 2GB
OS Windows Vista home premium
Arduino version 21
Arduino board Duemilanove
Ok,
I was going to try my newest program so I plugged in my Arduino and pressed the upload button.
Whiten seconds the IDE spewed out 100s of java exceptions too fast to read then crashed. Now it displays the splash screen and then disappears. I tried restarting the computer and starting it with and without the Arduino plugged in to no avail.

Avoid throwing electronics out as you or someone else might need them for parts or use.
Solid state rectifiers are the only REAL rectifiers.
Resistors for LEDS!
