Hi
I would like to sence the presence of current without measuring the actual value of it...I am looking for a low cost way to know whether current flows in my circuit when a relay is closed...Is there a low cost way to do it non invasively?

a hall effect current sensor would work, they sell models that clamp over the power wire without tapping into it. it would tell you how much current is flowing also.

The problem with a hall sensor is that the current hast to be quite high before it will sense it.
You do not say how much current is flowing so we don't know if a hall sensor is appropriate.

Thank you for your replies...
I want to sense the presence of the current that lights an ordinary 220V AC lamp...
