Topic: Combined Snap Circuits + Arduino to create Morse-Code blinking xmas lights (Read 1 time) previous topic - next topic

I wanted to teach my 9 year old son a bit about code & electronics. We combined his Snap Circuits electronics project learning kit with my Arduino Uno to make a string of Christmas Tree lights flash "Merry Christmas" in morse code, using a photosensor switch from the Snap Circuits kit plugged into an LED coming off the Arduino.  It's a very, very basic use of the Arduino, but it was a great teaching project: and a nice gateway to future Snap Circuit/Arduino combo projects.   Wrote it up on a web page here:
