Topic: Reading Microchip 93LC46 eeprom with arduino? (Read 812 times) previous topic - next topic

Hi, is it possible to read/write Microchip 93LC46 eeprom with arduino (datasheet: http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/devicedoc/21712B.pdf) or i need a separate programmer?

It can read and write with 2,5V to 5,5V so I see no problem in interfacing it with Arduino :) Even looks like SPI so should not be to hard.

Could you give me some kind of a tutorial about wiring and code. I was looking in Google but couldn't find one.

Based on the reply from septillion I did a search for 'Arduino SPI EEPROM' and the first hit was: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/SPIEEPROM.

If it is a 2.5 volt device then you will need to consider level shifters.
