Topic: Is it possible to control a brushed motor with a Arduino Motor Shield (v1)? (Read 176 times) previous topic - next topic

Wondering if it is possible without an ESC.
Only speed, not direction. Unless you use a relay to switch wires to the motor.

Post a link to the shield you have.

Most shields with similar names use very old technology and work only with very small motors.

Post a link to the motor...!
A brushed motor is the simplest, standard motor.
A simple MOSFET (one direction) or H-bridge (reversible) on a PWM output is all you need.

The magic starts with steppers and brushLESS motors.

You can lead a plug to an outlet, but you can't make them turn it on.
