Hello.
I have one of these gearboxes; Sparkfun says the gearbox is 3-6V:

And I am looking for a controller for it, one that would allow me to change direction by Arduino code.
Will this one work OK? I am unsure about the output voltage on this one:

ebay.com Shield 1. Edit: or maybe this one?! ebay.com Shield 2

Or are there any other solutions that are smaller or even cheaper?
Thanks.

The voltage in this case is probably of less importance than the current.
Which doesn't appear to be stated.

However, it does say it can be operated by a 293 driver, and if you look closely at the photo of shield 1, you'll see it has a 293 driver.

I will get the first one then and in am guessing that in worst case I would have to replace the motors on the gearbox.
