Topic: Receiving strange characters with Bluetooth module HC-05 (Read 92 times) previous topic - next topic

Hello,

I'm having problems with an Arduino connected to a Bluetooth module HC-05 that is driving me crazy.
I followed the tutorial at
http://www.martyncurrey.com/arduino-with-hc-05-bluetooth-module-at-mode/
and I was able to enter AT mode and test the module.
I charged the example code to Arduino and used Bluetooth Terminal app froma an Android phone. When I write some normal characters in the phone what I get in serial monitor is 'x⸮x⸮x⸮x⸮'
I checked for the comm params and they are 9600,0,0.
I tried with several BT modules but the results are always the same.

Any help is appreciated

Sure looks like a Baud rate error.
