Topic: Windows 8 Arduino Uno, not being able to upload new code instead board runs old (Read 138 times) previous topic - next topic

I'm on Windows 8 and a Arduino Uno if that helps.

Hey. I've been trying to solve this for a long time but I can't figure it out.
Basically, I made a blink program and now whenever I plug in the board it runs that
blink code. When I try to upload new it simply gets a error saying "Problem uploading to board. See (arduino troubleshooting page)". I have a pastebin that I'll link here: https://pastebin.com/zjeXJfBd
I got some help with this but it didn't work. Basically I had to go to the control panel, then hardware and printers, and then I had to find something called "FT232R USB UART", but I can't find that device.
I'm kind of in a dead end right now, so any help would be very much appreciated.

I've done all of this:

*I've checked the port, and its the correct one (COM2).
*I've restarted the computer and board multiple times.
*I've even deleted the blink sketch.

Help would be very much appreciated here
