If you have ever wondered what the inside of a DHT22 looks like.





The rear view is rotated upside down to make it easier to read the chips. The square pads are the device pins, and the round ones are where the thermistor and humidity sensor attach.

I used to use these quite a bit, they are surprisingly complex inside. 

I tend to use HTU21D sensors now for temperature and humidity as they don't cost that much more but the humidity readings are much quicker to react, and they recover much better from exposure to high humidity.
