Topic: How to amplifie half bridge wheatstone load cells(3 wire load cells)? (Read 3359 times) previous topic - next topic

I have 3 wire load cells but i don't know how to amplifie them. i think these load cells are half bridge wheatstone load cells.

can anyone explain how to amplifie these type of load cells.
by the way we plan to use arduino duemilanova for read output values of load cells so if you have experience or tutorials about that it will be very helpful.

If its one half of a wheatstone bridge you need 2 high-precision matched resistors to make up the other half-bridge and an instrumentation amplifier.

That circuit looks over complicated - but you'll need to measure the resistances of your sensor to figure out the bridge resistances.
