Hi,

N++ is a great editor, but the problem I have using it with Arduino, is that I don't know how to open the Serial Monitor from the Notepad ??

My Arduino programs require the Serial Monitor (particularly during debugging) and as long as I cannot start the serial monitor I am obliged to use the official Arduino IDE.

Ao you know how to start the serial monitor from N++ ???

I don't know if it's possible with Serial Monitor but there are several other excellent free standalone serial terminal programs that you could use instead of Serial Monitor. I've used realterm in the past and am now using PuTTY but my primary use of those programs is for network communication (they'll do serial also) so you might find a better replacement for Serial Monitor with some searching.

Thank you pert, I will have a look at them !

Thanks
