Topic: no idea on arduino language. Any help appreciated (Read 798 times) previous topic - next topic

I am going to use an arduino chip to take readings with a tmp35 temp sensor and give me 3 seperate outputs depending on the reading. I have no idea with programing really so any help would be appreciated. I know this is a stab in the dark really and can provide further info but I just need some help top get started

Thera are LOTS of examples that include pictures of the physical connections and the software.  Study some examples to learn the language.

Buy a c, c++ or arduino book, read it and learn, look at other people's codes, check out the learning section (http://arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/HomePage), but most importantly, experiment and have fun!
My website: http://www.harryrabbit.co.uk/electronics/home.html Up and running now! (Feel free to look round!) :D

Google the arduino programming notebook. It's a free book, compact but useful.

Cheers fellas, I should be ok with the code with a bit of work. Thanks for your help

Come back with some actual code you write with questions now.  :D

You could also look at the excellent tutorials by John Boxall:

I found them before I looked at anything else and they gave me the confidence to order a Uno

knowing that the arduino could do all things I wanted.

I have mainly done php and python stuff but none of this but I think his tutorials are so clear

it shouldn't be too hard for you to follow.

best wishes,
