Actually some of the more difficult concepts of arduino hardware and software are best explained during some of the great 'pissing contests' I've read here. For me I don't care about who is right and who is wrong, (even if it's me  ;) ) as long as I've learned something useful when it's all done. The Arduino platform, being open sourced, has all the code avalible to study but that can be a daunting task to figure out for some of us software challenged types. It's cool to read explanations from people that have looked it over and can give concise explanations.

As far as being hard on newcomers, I have been hard on some in the past when they touch my sensitive spot about HAVING to use series current limiting resistors with diodes. I don't start right off flaming, but if they offer any resistance to my fatherly advice I tend to lose patience.  :D

Sure, everyone needs two chances... and then KABOOM.

Have I used both of mine already? Just kidding, of course I have.

After a Kaboom, the chance counter is reset. That's easier to do than resetting the micros counter. so don't worry.

That's cool! Let's continue with the mission!
