You are taking it out of context... you need to use the more complete "long legged female header".

Wish they had a screw terminal block option- I don't trust the push-in connectors - though a 2x screw terminal is would be a strange beast.

Maybe a mega screw terminal shield should be a new project for me/someone

I like the push in connectors myself but each to their own...

Yes but you can't buy one to break out all of the mega headers into screw terminals...

Are these female headers already soldered to the board under them? or is it supposed to be a push fit.
I ask because if a push fit into holes I would have to solder them and from the looks of it thats not easy.

Can they maybe be soldered on the underside ? that would be a little easier. I can't tell from the links

Are you talking about the 2x18 mega headers... They are put through the board and soldered on the underside (all 36 pins)...

Well I don't do anything cos I'm nothing to do with it but as it's a kit, you will have to do that yourself...
