Topic: SIM300, not in sync/protocol error (Read 784 times) previous topic - next topic

Hi all:
I'm using SIM300 board and connected to my computer with RS232 USB to serial converter. The drivers for converter was successfully installed and I got a new COM4 port on my computer. When I tried to upload my code to the board, I just got error message:

avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00
avrdude: stk500_disable(): protocol error, expect-0x14, resp=0x51

I noticed that there are lots of types of boards on the tool menu, but which should I choose? And how can I upload my code to the board?

Do you meant the SIM300-EVB Evaluation Board from Simcom?  That's not an Arduino.
