Topic: Details of changes for Uno R2 (Read 1 time) previous topic - next topic

Are there details anywhere of the changes to the board for R2?

I didn't find any 'official info' about R2; even most distributors don't know they are selling two different revisions of Arduino Uno.

But as I said yesterday, R2 has the changes introduced in 'Uno SMD':
- ICSP connector for the 8U2 chip
- Pulldown resistor included for DFU programming of 8U2

They really do seem to be getting slack with documentation and releasing things without telling people what the changes are or that new products have actually come out.

On May 12 when I received my new Arduino board, I sent a response to distribution asking about changes to the new board layout.  Here is the first response I got:

you have sent a distribution request to Arduino.cc. We have got your
email and will be answering you regarding your request.

I have received no further feedback and have not seen this posting.  Attached is the photo of the board.
