I have the UNO and want to mess around with an LCD.  I see there are large color options and small mono ones too.  What do you recommend?

Hi,

I like this one: http://arduino-direct.com/sunshop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=92 for quick development because it's a shield and plugs directly on Arduino so you get lots of functionality with no wiring work.

The buttons mean you can implement some interactive / menu system...
