I have received strange breed from e-bay. Supplier claims that it is STK500 V2 and in fact it looks like one, but for the other side device has label saying it is JTAG ICE and it responds to avrdude as such. Could it been that someone smart put wrong label and firmware on innocent STK500 hardware?  Is so - can it be reversed? There are no any text on PCB.

Looks like the JTAG ICE to me.  STK500 is the board with lots of sockets: http://store.atmel.com/PartDetail.aspx?q=p:10500070

So the questions is how to load now firmware of AVRISP mkII ? I see there ISP header, but where to get hex file?

Did you look at the picture of the JTAG ICE at http://store.atmel.com/PartDetail.aspx?q=p:10500154 ?
