I've searched and searched and have not found an assembled board a rs232 port! I know usb is the wave of the future, but there has to be someone still making a rs232 arduino. Basically all I need is a cheap arduino compatible board with a rs232 port. I know it would be pretty easy to build myself, but I'm really just looking for a load my program and go solution. I will be purchasing many of these boards if I can find them! Thanks for your help!

See here : http://arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoBoardSerialSingleSided3. for a board you can make yourself. Or you way find some-one willing to etch them for you. If your in the UK, I can etch them for you, be around £3.00 + p&p per board. You will need to get the components and assemble yourself.

Is a kit (or bare board) with "real" (max232-like) rs232 serial.   It sorta looks like the volume doesn't support the expense of having them manufactured...

+1 for NKC.  I've got 2 or 3 (or 4?) of the NKC variety, and they work well.
