Topic: Creating menu's and submenu's (Read 3106 times) previous topic - next topic

I am like many others a newbie.
It's not because I'm lazy, but I just don't get it.
So here it is..
I recently bought the LCD4884 LCD shield. I am trying to figure out how to make submenus and activate outputs.

The doc with library http://www.dfrobot.com/wiki/index.php?title=LCD4884_Shield_Fro_Arduino_(SKU:DFR0092)

Basicly I wan't to make some submenus and under some of these submenus i would like to make "buttons" to activate an output or a piece of code. I guess i could set conditions so that when a certain line is highlighted and i push the button i would activate the output?
I have not worked much on getting outputs to work, but i guess i should be able to get that working.

I have searched google and read on some forums, but i can't get it to work...

Any help will be much appreciated :)

The art of getting good answers lies in asking good questions.

Paul, you beat me to it :)

Yes, I would suggest you check out my library:

Since my library is written for phi-2 shields, which have different pin assignment and one extra key than your shield, you will need some minor modification.
Serial LCD keypad panel,phi_prompt user interface library,SDI-12 USB Adapter
