No, I think that says Q is Quad Flatpack

I thought the same thing when I first saw that document.  You have to follow the lines carefully.

The second "P"...

644P-20PQ
...is the package.

That part number reference document was from last century.
I went thru  a lot of current Atmel app notes & stuff, I didn't come across anything from this decade or the previous decade that addresses the Q.
Nor can I find any data sheets the call out a part number with Q in it.

I know.  With the exception of the missing "Q", the recent part numbers seem to follow the part number pattern from that document.  I suspect Atmel still uses the same basic scheme.

The "PQ" suffix is for extended temperature rating..

PQ= -40 ~ 105 C

PU= -40 ~ 85 C
