I am communicating to the Arduino via Matlab, it is working perfectly in Linux but not in Windows,

I get the following error

a=arduino('COM5')
Attempting connection ......
Warning: A timeout occurred before the Terminator was reached.
??? Error using ==> arduino>arduino.arduino at 100
Connection unsuccessful, please make sure that the Arduino is powered on, running
either adiosrv.pde or mororsrv.pde, and that the board is connected to the indicated
serial port. You might also try to unplug and re-plug the USB cable before
attempting a reconnection.

Both my serial port properties in Linux and Ubuntu are same when i check serial('COM5') in Windows or serial('/dev/ttyUSB0') in Linux.

I have seen other posts where people have the same problem when they Giampiero Campa's method mentioned in Mathworks and Arduino Help & Support.

Can someone point out where i am going wrong.
Thanks.

PLEASE NOT... MR. CAMPA'S ADIOSRV.PDE AND THE ARDUINO.M WORKS ONLY ON MATLAB 2009! DO NOT TRY IT ON MATLAB 2010 OR 2011 ...IT WILL GIVE THE ABOVE ERROR!
