Some information for those attending OSCON in late July, I'm delivering one workshop and one presentation at the event:
The introductory workshop is targeted at people who have no previous Arduino experience and is an environment where there'll be lots of guidance so your first Arduino experience can be a positive one! Last year this workshop was one of the highest rated tutorials of the conference.
The Android accessory presentation covers an introduction to the Android Open Accessory Protocol (AOAP)
and how you can use the Arduino to prototype accessories for Android devices. The AOAP enables some pretty cool things and is a very young technology so there's plenty of exciting things waiting for you to create them.
I'd be keen to catch up with other Arduino-ites at the conference and if there's enough interest we could perhaps hold an Arduino/Open Hardware Birds of a Feather (BoF) session.
Looks like there's a pretty good range of open hardware related talks at the conference.
Hope to see some of you there!
