I just saw a new Arduino in the hardware section of the website. An android compatible Mega. (well, probably its not all that new, I just had not seen it before)

Does anyone know if and where they are sold? I have not seen them on robotshop / sparkfun etc.

There is an ethernet board too! It does not have the FTDI USB-serial convertor though, so another arduino would be needed to program it. I'd love to try some of the new boards out some time. Has anyone tried them out?

i just got myself this one: http://shop.moderndevice.com/products/freeduino-usb-host-board

now if only I had the cable to connect it to my phone :-/ gonna go buy it and test it now I think :-D

(I will report back, but it might take me a while as I have not done any android programming yet...)

Another Arduino is not needed. You need this to add USB to the Arduino Ethernet:
