yknow i think it would be more clear if the Guide section on the arduino site was renamed "Getting Started"
not sure how other people feel about this. The word "guide" just doesn't seem quite right.
most manuals have a "quick start" or "getting started" chapter in the beginning...

am i the only one who feels this way?

MikMo

I agree. Turning it in to a "Getting started" section would be appropriate, and make it easier to find.

I agree,  "Getting Started" is a much better way of putting it...
Limor, maybe you should modify this post to be a poll, and people can vote?

mellis you haven't commented, does that mean you think it should stay as it is? you're kinda in charge of the site right? :) its not a big deal either way...

mellis

Sorry, I've been busy.  I think you're right.  Maybe "Getting Started" in the sidebar and "Getting Started Guide" on the page itself (so there's some reason for the "guide" in the URL)?  Feel free to change it to what you think is best.

ok back from vacation, will do!

mellis

How about just "Getting Started" in the Sidebar?  "Getting Started (Guide)" seemed really long.

ladyada

erk, you're right... looks good now!
