Interesting...

We had investigated the idea of using FPC instead of PCB for an Arduino compatible board with affordable cost (Benduino?) Never hurt to try if there is specific application need Arduino to be more flexible or even strenchable  ;)

I need do buy an arduino-compatible in the next week or two and need at least a 328.  I assume its unrealistic to wait for a seeeduino 328 in that time frame.  I do love seeeduino's design though.

We already have a wish list for this board, but we are open to suggestions from the Arduino community.

+1 for the I2C RTC chip on board (ds1307?), that would be really usefull and not to expensive, I guess.

Gerard.

Ds1307 RTC on board is a very good idea!

Yes yes, RTC would be great!  Would need a 3v cell on board, which
many people would abuse, I think, but since you're sticking with the Arduino form factor and using surface mount chips, there should be plenty of room in the footprint.

A RTC module will be available soon. Check out this:

wouldnt it be more useful if the module did include the quarz?
Believe me, Mike, I calculated the odds of this succeeding against the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid[ch8230] and I went ahead

That is just a breadboard prototype, I'm sure the finished module will include on board crystal and back-up battery.

You got it! Take a look at these photos: 8-)

This Real Time Clock Module uses DS1307 and CR1220  battery. It can be directly sat on Seeeduino/Arduino or seeeduino Mega. But you can not directly use it with Arduino Mega.

We didn't include battery (CR1220)becasue that may cause some shipping problems. It should be easy to find in a near by Supermarket with cheap price.
