Can i connect my arduino to the computer through a USB and at the same time i plug in my DC power supply,I wonder if it is possible because some times i watch clips on youtube when guys are doing it

There is an automatic changeover circuit that permits this since the Duemilanova board.  Its very useful when programming a board in situ.
