Hi Everyone,

I am trying to design a pcb (using the toner method) with a surface mount ATMega8/168/328 (tqfp package) on the top. I have looked around but I have not been able to find a program that has that specific part. I hope one of you'll can direct me to a program that will allow me to design a pcb with the surface mount ATMega.

Thanks in Advance,
Mr_E

Eagle should have one. Look in the Atmel library for the Mega8 part.

Thanks! I'll be sure to check it out  ;)

i believe Sparkfun also has the parts in their eagle library.

Are there any other programs that have that part or is there a plugin for fritzing?

Hi,

Eagle has one library from Atmel off the shelf and has a package for the MEGA8 which is fully applicable to the 168/328P. Also, the new Sparkfun library has the packages you are looking for, in this case the device is the 168.

Yes indeed, Eagle has one, I used it here:
ATMEGA168TQFP-08 (ATMEGA168)

Or you can grab avr-7.lbr from http://www.cadsoft.de/downloads/libraries/

The MEGA8 (MEGA8-AI) is the 168/328 pin compatible TQFP chip.
