Bigger Bigger Smaller Smaller Reset Reset

Hi,

I'm looking to get a yellow 10 segment bar graph display for a project I'm working on, and I noticed the ones from Avago are like 5x as expensive as the ones from Kingbright, yet the Kingbright ones, accoridng to their specs appear to be a bit brighter.

Has anyone used both brands, and can you tell me if there's any real difference between them?  I want something that'll look nice and won't be too dim.  And I don't wanna waste money on the Avago ones if they're gonna look pretty much the same.

Also, I'm looking for larger arrays of LED's, but the only ones I've been able to find are those ones with the big diffuse circles.

Does anyone sell small arrays of regular led's?  And does anyone sell something like the ones with the circles, but with squares instead?

Oh, and does anyone know what those little black plastic things that help you line led's up in neat rows to make your own 10 segment arrays are called?

The price for 10 bar displays do varie and as far as I can tell there is little or no difference between the various types.
