I was growing browsing the Playground part of this site, and on this page:

http://arduino.cc/playground/

found:

That doesn't look anything like the Arduino I have. Perhaps a more modern photo?

(edit) Changed "growing" to "browsing". Damn auto-correct.

Yup.  Probably not a good idea to put a URL on something permanent like a PCB and then give up the domain name.

This is the original text...
Code:
http://arduino.cc/en/uploads/Main/ArduinoDuemilanove.jpg [[(Attach:)arduino_highres.jpg | High Resolution Photo of an Arduino Board]]\\

I tried changing it to this...
Code:
http://arduino.cc/en/uploads/Main/arduino_uno_test.jpg [[(Attach:)ArduinoUno_r2_front.jpg | High Resolution Photo of an Arduino Board]]\\

Which would use these two images...
http://arduino.cc/en/uploads/Main/arduino_uno_test.jpg
http://arduino.cc/playground/uploads/Main/ArduinoUno_r2_front.jpg

But the caption curls around the right side of the image.  Someone more familiar with the Wiki language is going to have to make the change.

Looks like it. Also looks like they added the 3.3V and Reset pins later.

And you can see the Aref trace looping around the board - I always thought that was poor placement for that pin.

It's the 'roach motel' syndrome again.  Anything that ever gets put in the playground stays there forever.  At least the picture wasn't labeled "New Arduino" or "Latest Arduino".

And, unlike the original Uno launch photos, the ATmel isn't installed backwards.

It's kind of frustrating having to deal with the same problems over and over again with each new batch of Arduino enthusiasts.  It would be much easier if there were some easy way to get errors, omissions, and obsolete material fixed, added, or removed from the website.

What? It's incredibly easy to get errors, omissions, and obsolete material added to the web site.

How true.

I guess I could have worded that better.  You were supposed to apply the fixes to the problems in the same order.

Massimo,  the "mistakes" you made give Arduino a charm that almost no other project has achieved to this day.  I sincerely hope you understand that all of us who appreciate the platform couldn't have done the original design better than you.
