Topic: beginner, web based DMX control (Read 1 time) previous topic - next topic

I've posted in the networking category, but it may actually be better to ask here. I'm a bit confused on some basics in terms of knowing what to search for in order to achieve what I'm after.

Simply, I want to create a web app that can be viewed on mobile phones that through it's interface can turn a DMX device in my house on/off. I have a UNO, new ethernet shield and I will be getting a Super DMX shield too to hook up to the kit.

I'm baffled by pachube, web servers, chat servers webduinos. Being frank, I haven't got a clue on the basics here. I found this http://www.webweavertech.com/ovidiu/weblog/archives/000484.html but I'm not sure if this is the best solution. I'm looking for the simplest and basic solution that won't scare me too much as I'm new to this.
