Hello guys, I am setting up my new Arduino UNO SMD R2. I find that, as soon as USB port is connected, Power LED is turned on but L led on pin 13 is also turned on, which starts to blink and never stops. I have not even finished set up and  not running any code. Could someone please tell me whats happening?

That's normal.  When you flash a new chip with a bootloader, that's what it does to indicate that it's working.  Once you start writing sketches to it, it stops blinking.
