Some might be interested in this blage. It allows you to monitor and control a PC's state and power remotely.

Take a gander at http://www.autsys.co.uk/ and follow the links to have a look. For some reason I cannot directly address the page direct. Any comments welcomed!

Is there any where that lists phones that can use AT commands? I'm looking for something really old and cheap but it can be difficult (to me) finding out which phones can be used that way.

Yes, easiest phones to interface Arduino using AT are old Ericsson ones (my T18 and T20 works like a charm).

Thanks to both of you! I can see examples of these and the T230 on ebay for less than a tenner, that is so much better than a GSM module.

Now to rewrite Fido using a class..
