what are piano bumpers.
hard to find out as non native...

the "textile" stuff under the feet of a piano?
Or the "bumpers" which touch the strings while kicking the piano's brake?

I presume they are some kind of rubber foot type thing for stopping the piano keys. What they bump onto when you press them down or something but I thought they were felt.
Really I don't know and i'm probably just making up rubbish  smiley-wink

Or just for random places where the piano closes etc.

if i think about it...
piano is italian short for piano-forte. which is silent-loud in english

maaaaybe: Pianobumper=bumper, which makes silence?

so. just an ordinary noise-reducing bumper? smiley

(now nobody can say, electro-nerds don't care about language and other "non-nerd-stuff"...)

Mowcius

we have a winner, they are just rubber bumpers to keep parts from banging against eachother when you open and close them (ie lid or fallboard)

those are dampers, they are made out of wood wire and felt, the felt is what sits on the strings to keep them from vibrating, either cause you want them to or because of sympathetic harmonics

[edit]oops my bad, you said UNDER the keys yes those are paper and felt also[/edit]

no that really could be anything from scraps of carpet to specially designed cups to protect hardwood floors

Mowcius,

Do you only do transparent acrylic?

Can you do (about Arduino sized) custom acrylic boxes? We might need about 50-60 boxes in the future for a project we are working on.

Thanks in advance!

I can do most colours. I have kinda been working on some arduino boxes but have not quite got there yet. I have sent you a PM about it.

Just a note that may reduce sparks and smoke: be sure to buffer your metal standoffs and screw heads with non-metallic washers.  The holes in the Arduino don't have much circular clearance and the only thing keeping the metal from touching nearby traces is the solder mask.

Or use non-metallic mounting hardware.
