ti chiedo un test al volo. collega una webcam e prova a registrare. Mi interessa sapere se è fluido come un pc normale.
Poi mi servirebbe anche un test sullo stream del video, magari con vlc o simili

scusa lesto la domanda da incompetente ma per fare un video o usare vlc intendi installare linux sulla sd e farglielo caricare? alla fin fine lo si puo' usare come un player video che attacchi alla tvhd?

VLC è molto più di un lettore video.
puoi selezionare una grande varietà di flussi input (usb, file, network) e output.

Il test che mi interessa è prendere il flusso webcamb (usb) e redirigerlo su un flusso di rete (streaming), poi da un pc normale collegarsi alla raspberry per vedere il video.

ho fatto la prova ad usarlo ho installato debian e qui non avevo neanche una sd veloce ma una normale sd da 8 gb...cmq le prestazioni non sono altissime tranneke cambiando la memoria variano di tanto...non mi pare che possa supportare lo streaming video...appena posso faccio altre prove

se stai usando un ambiente grafico non mi stupisco che sia lenta, non c'è ancora l'accelerazioe hardware! anzi cìè ma la devi attivare a mano perchè ancora sperimentale.
son certo che regge lo stream video, il problema è capire:
1- usa il supporto hardware (encode/decode HD!)
2- che risoluzione/fps al massimo riesce a gestire in encode+stream. sicuramente non dovrebbe aver problemi con la webcam: se ce la fanno i cellulari a fare videochiamate, ce la fa pure il rasp

Implementing accelerated 3D is not yet finished. One of the reasons the foundation thought general users wouldn't yet be interested in the device. I'm afraid you'll have to wait a bit for the software to increase performance by leaps and bounds.

Similar things hold for the video playback. The CPU is a bit slow, and won't be able to decode anything bigger than about 320x200 (my rough estimate). However the GPU is a BEAST and will easily decode 1920x1080 HD video content. The thing is the GPU decodingis H264 only and has not yet been integrated in any video playing program that you might have tested.
