Then celebrate how in computing we don't still build words in 3-bit octals but rather in 4-bit hex!

I find it harder to express logic in English than in Code.
Sometimes an example says more than many times as many words.

I won't have a word said against the PDP-8's octal heritage.
Four octal digits instead of three hex made more sense.

LOL! 4 bits too many or 4 bits too few? ;^)
But they work and I'm sure there are still PDP-11's on the job -where things HAVE to work-!
