This is exactly my point.  A split supply is quite difficult to provide and has all sorts of annoying problems.  An H-bridge is a specific topology that DOES NOT require a split supply.  This is a highly critical feature of an H-bridge, and saying a circuit is "like an H-bridge" when it lacks this feature is flat-out incorrect.
