Topic: Read MIDI File(SD CARD) and Play it with (MIDI Shield) ?? (Read 1 time) previous topic - next topic

HI
I shall wish to know if it is possible to get back a file *.mid ( ABLETON) on SD card and to be able to transmit it on MIDI shield??
My synthesizer is a MicroKorg XL, for information.
P.S: I am not English-speaking, thus, thank you for your understanding.

Hi
Thus I see, that nobody answers.
A video is better than a long speech  XD
I wish to integrate this principle into my project.

As far as I know no one has published any code to do this. It is a perfectly reasonable thing to want to do and it is possible to do it but I have not seen anyone who has.

I have been looking for the same thing. But so far this hasn't been done specifically for Arduino that I can find. There are projects that let you convert MusicXML or .MID files on your PC, and then include the conversion in your Arduino sketch.

Well if you are going to do it then please post the code, it is on my list of things to do but keeps getting pushed down the stack.

If you can read French (I can't), follow this

it looks like a porting of the MrMidi you posted above to Arduino. I tried to get it working but it's far too complicated for me. I would rather start from scratch and use the new SD card libraries and Arduino 1.0.

@mymaestro
Thanks very much.
As I am French, I think that it will not be difficult to read this comment   :smiley-mr-green: :smiley-mr-green: Sorry

@Grumpy_Mike
No problem, as soon as it is good for me, I puts down the sketch   ;) ;)

P.S:I wait for my unit of storage ( Adafruit) which is out of stock for the moment (maybe at the end of February)
