Topic: Controlling iTunes via Arduino + Applescript (Read 639 times) previous topic - next topic

I'm working on a project that will automatically pause my music when I leave a room and play it again when I come back in. All I need is to control iTunes, which is becoming a very difficult task. I want to use Applescript and communicate with the arduino via serial, rather than using the arduino to send commands with an infrared LED because that way I can check if iTunes is running and if it's playing music.

I am running the latest version of Lion, and I have an Arduino Mega 2560.

Anyways, I need some way to get the arduino to communicate with Applescript, whether directly, or with another app in between. If any one has experience with this, please help!
