I have this PIR sensor http://www.smarthome.com/76405/40-X-40-Pet-Immunity-PIR-Detector-Motion-Detector/p.aspx which works with a N.C relay and from my understanding opens up when the motion sensor is triggered. I am currently building a small security system for a project. I was trying to send a digital 1 from the digital output from the arduino across the relay and connected the output of the relay to an input on the arduino and programmed it to read a digital 0 or 1. However it is not working, i cannot get a proper signal across the relay which should just be a short I believe when its N.C. Any suggestions?
