hey there, i had the idea of making a set of morse code walkie talkies that could send and receive morse code as LED flashes but wasn't sure how to send the signal between the two modules. i am new to arduino and any help would be terrific. thanks so much

you might add some XBEE modules, not a wide range but still a big fun project!

You won't get much of a range with LEDs. Detecting them is difficult. The best you can do is probably get a receiver for an IR remote and get that to either send and receive data or get it to detect morse.
