I can't seem to figure out how to get using the Tab key to make a decent Tab. All it does it make two spaces. I'd like it to be either 3,5 or 8 spaces, but as an actual tab character. This bothers me! But I'm sure there's a way to fix it!

You must have read my mind. I was searching the forum to see if someone has asked this question. The tab is not decent. It should jump to fixed locations such as 2,4,6,8,10 instead of getting 2 spaces to the current locations. Right now if I push tab at location 1, I should go to 2,4,6,8 but I get 3,5,7,9. My inline comments don't line line up as they do in a decent editor like winedt.
