Bigger Bigger Smaller Smaller Reset Reset

I bought a set, which was for checking if the remote control works.. Instead i thought i'd try to connect the IR reciever to the arduino-board to get a read, but i can't seem to get anything out of it.

It looks just like a LED, but is clear.

I've tried ground + digital pin 10 and ground + analogue pin 3 (mostly since all the other pins are taken), but i can't get any other value than 0.

Any help is appreciated

Hello Seltar,

Take a look at http://www.arduino.cc/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1152894029. I've made an SIRCS IR decoder. It's in french but you can ask me if you have some questions.
